7C Style Guide

Overview

With my style guide i wanted to create a new logo for swanks racing I had done many attempts to come up with a logo on a pice of paper and I had chosen the one in the middle of the image below. With this I formulated how I was going to format and color the logo. I then sketched the style guide that i was going to use and format on Adobe illustrator.

Critique

One thing that I would do better next time would be able to include the illustrator image into the post. Being limited on time due to procrastination has lead to this incomplete post. The next time I will do better to manage my time

10Company Video Project

Process

The process for this video idea came when I thought about have a superhero to be the sites spokesman that can save the day. there are always people going to the store to try to find what they need. with people that like to race and need certain part it can be especially hard because most stores don’t carry it. This ad shows that my company’s site can help and you don’t even need to leave your shop for the process. The ad goes like this. A guy walks into an auto store to find a part but they don’t carry it. The Racing Man is standing outside when the guy leaves the store and when the guy gets outside he shows him the site and the app. this saves the guys day and turns him from sad to happy.

Critique

One thing i would change about the way I did the video was i would of used a higher production budget so the video could come out better that what it did. As well I would spend a little more time on the design of the video itself.

8C Company Flag

I created a flag for one of my racing companies for this weeks project.

Process

With creating the flag for Swanks Racing Company I used strong border lines to create a pattern along the left and right sides of the flag. This racing company embodies unity so i wanted to go with five circles with one triangle in the middle unifying everything. I want to put the racing companies logo in the middle of the the flag but i feel like it would overload everything. The colors that I chose are bold and stand out against the dark black background. With the Red it is bold and pops out contrasting against the black, it also represents the drive and boldness of the company. The white represents the tranquility of pace that the company provides.

In my sketch provided above it shows how I came up with the ideas of how i made the company’s flag. With the circles and the lines you see how I drew together the idea to have that 90 degree angles as well as the circles. The idea of having the shapes applied to me and the company and thats why I went with this design.

Critique

Some things that I would of done better include the fact that i wish i had taken more time to design and plan these ideas out. I would also switch up the process of how i did the flag i would use less circles for the flag but would still keep the borders of the flag because they add flare.

Photography

In this post I’ve assembled some photos that I’ve taken and edited for this blog.

The process for gaining these photos was an incredible experience. I can go on and on with the meaning of each photo but that would talk multiple blog post. with the experience editing the photos i found it to be challenging. Im just now being able to edit alright so constructive criticism will be appreciated. I would take more photos of nature as a critique to myself and continue on learning how to how to edit photos. How i went about the process of taking the photos was they had to be in the moment for me. I like to capture things that i can remember every detail of.

Company Plan

The overview of the project was pretty fun being able to create a company plan for three separate F1 teams. I was able to come up with marketing strategies for each team on how to get more funds for the next season. The process posed challenges but in the I was able to come up with the perfect company plan for these teams and manufactures.

This image provided above is the sketch that I had started out with. this laid the foundation of what i was going to do but it didn’t show what the actual final product was going to look like.

This is the final product and you can see the mission statement for each company. you will also see that the plan is blow that.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
